These hammocks are hand made in San Sebastian El Salvador. I currently live in Iowa but travel to El Salvador a few times per year and thats where I get these in person from the makers themselves. These are made by hand, and the mixture is Cotton and silk, the makers say these should last about 25 years w/ proper care. You are only buying the hammock, NOT the rope and clips in order to use it.
